Brookgreen Gardens
Pelicans baseball game
Battleship in Wilmington
We love the Waccatee Zoo on for a day when everyone has had enough of the sun. Lots of shade and it seems cool even on the hottest days. Also love Brookgreen Gardens, but small kids will be bored. My kids love ';The Maze'; on 17 Bus. S. in Garden City and Tupelo Bay Golf also on 17 Bus in Garden City has a great par 3 course that is great for all ages and is lighted at night.
Thanks so much for all the great ideas. This really helps us!!
Patriots Point in Charleston was a wonderful day trip
and another day trip was to The Battleship in Wilmington. We try out of town places when we need a break from the sun. Oh, and also in Charleston was a boat trip combined with a tour at Fort Sumter..the start of the Civil War!!!!
Good thread. I%26#39;ve been going to MB for many years now and it%26#39;s always nice to see if there are things I have been missing out on!
YES I agree there are TONS of things listed here that I never thought of. I can%26#39;t wait to compile them all and put some to use! We have been going every year for 14 years in a row and usually do the same old things. My family is going to be suprised!
Thanks again!
In addition...
Let%26#39;s all add things as the summer goes on and places are visited.
We can all see the reviews and ideas of others and see what they thought of these spots and any tips they might have.
We are not going on our trip until August.
