Dress Code

I just moved down here to Charleston and I was wondering what the dress code is for the following restaurants. Basically can I get away with jeans and a button down shirt?

Dress Code

First of all, welcome! You are sure to love the variety of things this city has to offer year-round. I have lived in a lot of cities myself and still can%26#39;t get over how much history is packed into this little city and how many outdoor opportunities there are for nature lovers and athletic/adrenaline junkies alike.

Put them all together and, per square mile, you have more such opportunities than any other American city without question. Imagine the things you can do within a 10 mile radius of Calhoun Street, and all of that without paying tolls or sitting in traffic!

OK - so now to your question...

Jeans and a button-down shirt sure go a long way in most restaurants - I have not been to Fulton Five yet but I think you%26#39;d be ok there, too.

Dress Code

I have been to Fulton Five and I really think you would feel more comfortable in a nice pair of slacks and a dress shirt. It is a fantastic restaurant.

I wear dark jeans and a nice shirt everywhere and its fine.

You will hear the term ';Charleston Tuxedo';. That is a pair of khaki slacks, button down collar shirt and a blue blazer. It is almost always appropriate in Charleston.
