Planning to rent a timeshare from an owner for a week in the summer. Oceanfront choices are Island Club Seawatch or Monarch at Sea Pines. Other inland choices are Royal Dunes, Egret Point by Spinnaker, Southwind Villas or the Carolina Club. If anyone has any info they can share on these choices I would appreciate your help. In addition, if your have knowledge of the facilities could you rank them in order of first, second, third, etc. choice. I really appreciate any time taken to help me make this decision.

Sea Pines is the prettiest plantation! Monarch is an older property and the units do not have a Oceanfront views but the property is right on the beach!

Vicki1553: We are heading to Hilton Head for Canadian March Break, 8-15,2008 and are booked in for a week at at 3 bedroom at Egret Point in Shipyard Plantation. If you have not made up your mind by the time we get back, I will post my views on the timeshare. I know the Cottages at Shipyard and the Carolina Club are all in the same area. I will definitely give my opinion once we return. I sure hope they are nice. I am told that Egret Point is the newest Spinnaker resort of them all except for the newest opening this spring Bluewater Resort.
D in Muskoka.
We own an oceanfront unit at the Island Club. We love it. The view is spectacular, the beach is pristine. It%26#39;s not part of a plantation, so it%26#39;s a little quieter. It makes for a very relaxing vacation! They recently renovated the pools which are very nice. Tennis is big there - they have exhibitions %26amp; lessons. Hope this is helpful!
