I am trying to plan my honeymoon for Sept. 28th thru Oct. 3rd and was thinking about booking an ocean view room here...I am trying to find a place that has that tropical resort feel without having to fly anywhere. For anyone that has stayed here, can you please help me out with the following questions?
About what time of year does the poolside bar close? One thing I am looking forward to is sitting by the pool/beach drinking margaritas:)
How far into the strip is this resort? Is it by the pavilion or further down? I used to go to Myrtle Beach for spring breaks in college and remember how crazy the strip is!
Thank you very much for your help!!
Marriott Resort %26amp; Spa at Grande Dunes
I haven%26#39;t stayed there but I will only answer the second part of your question.
It%26#39;s located in the northern section of Myrtle Beach in a very residential area. It%26#39;s very nice in that section. Lots of beach houses that almost reminds you of being in Florida. It is no where near the Pavilion/Strip/Southern area. I did a walk through of the property and I think it%26#39;s exactly what you are looking for. Have you tried calling the hotel and asking them when the poolside thing will be open?
Marriott Resort %26amp; Spa at Grande Dunes
We stayed there 4 nights in March. Great hotel, that is in a residential area. Not a night clubbing type of atmosphere. You have do drive a bit for that. The picures and descriptions on the Mattiott site are very accurate.
