Has anyone ever stayed at the Sea Park motel? A couple friends and I are planning to go down in June and we originally decided to stay there. However, now one of my friends is saying it%26#39;s completely disgusting and in a bad area of Myrtle. I was just curious if it was in a bad area. My uncle didn%26#39;t seem to think so, but he wasn%26#39;t sure. (The address is 1501 N Ocean Blvd) Thoughts? Anyone ever stay there?
Keep in mind, we%26#39;re just teenagers with pretty much no money. We need a cheap place to stay that%26#39;s close to Broadway at the Beach. Obviously, we%26#39;re going to have to deal with a little uncleanliness. I appreciate any input any of you have. And please, if you have any other recommendations for cheap motels that rent to those under 21, please let me know!
Sea Park Motel - Bad area? Other recs?
It%26#39;s really hard to find a nice place that rents to teenagers. My sons both took senior trips to MB, so I know what you are up against. One stayed at The Polynesian %26amp; the other stayed at The Bar Harbor.
Truthfully, none of these would be my first choice, especially for girls traveling alone, but maybe one of the local experts can give you better advice than I can.
Sea Park Motel - Bad area? Other recs?
We%26#39;ve stayed at the Dolphin Motel, which is next door to the Sea Park and is owned by the same people. Our room at the Dolphin had just been redone, and we loved it. I do know that the motel owners don%26#39;t let the guests get too rowdy, so I think they charge a security deposit for people under 25 to cut out the riff-raff. I appreciated that because I didn%26#39;t want to have to listen to drunk people yelling off of balconies all night. As far as the the area of town is concerned, as long as you don%26#39;t do anything stupid, like leave your car unlocked or walk around swinging your purse, you%26#39;ll be fine. They also own the Carolina Tarheel up the street, and some of their family lives there. I think it%26#39;s the owner%26#39;s adult son and his wife and baby girl. You know she wouldn%26#39;t let her grandchild live in a bad area. The location is about 3 minutes away from Broadway at the Beach, and a new shopping center called the Market Common is opening soon. I think you%26#39;ll like the Sea Park.
