family of 4,2 kids 11,10, we need a place to stay very close to beach,close to where wife can spend money and dad can walk to bars and cry about how much this is costing,any help or referals please,thank you,end of june time frame

Can%26#39;t really name a place where you can walk to everything, but if you stay centrally in the area of Breakers, Dayton House, Caribbean, there are several places within walking distance to have a drink %26amp; drown your sorrows. The shopping areas (other than a few beach shops) you would drive to.

Better to shop %26amp; drive rather than drink %26amp; drive :)

Hey, this is no laughing matter .I can relate to what he is saying.

Stay at Ocean creek resort. It is a great resort on the beach, Barefoot landing is right accross the street. It has about 100 nick nack shops and some nice restaurants/bars where your man can get ripped. Also the Mall is only about 1/2 mile down the road with more shops like Bass Pro. I have stayed here seven times and will continue to book here. Never been dissapointed. you do have to cross a busy street if walking, so make sure dad is not too plastered when walking back to hotel. Most of the other shopping centers are away from the beach and will require a vehicle, but other hotels will have a nice beach bar like Ocean Annies at the Sands beach club.

Stay at The Breakers Resort. Its literally a few minute trolly ride up the street. It has over 200 shopping stores, rest, things for kids to do , and plenty of spots for happy hour drinks. You can%26#39;t go wrong!
