Palmetto Dunes Questions

Our family will be making our first trip to Hilton Head the week of June 28/08, and we%26#39;re looking for information about villas/condos/etc in the Palmetto Dunes area.

We have two boys, ages 11 and 9, and would like a family place on the beach (not noisy at night).

Any suggestions?

I don%26#39;t think noise will be a problem, if you are staying in PD.

The Oceanfront Villas are all very nice, with Captains Walk, and VillaMare being the most reasonable rental.

There are also a number of choices within a short walk to the beach that are less expensive. Look for rentals at ';Fazio'; ';Innverness'; ';Turnberry';, and The Moorings.

All of these are inside the gates and walkable to the beach.

I recommend that first timers use a commercial rental company. You may pay a few dollars more, but you have some recourse if the rental turns out to be not what you expected.

Both the Vacation Company and Island Getaway are reputable agencies that have a number of rentals available in PD

Thank you for the advice, Stan, particularly about the rental companies. I was worried about that.

We%26#39;ve stayed at The Moorings- directly across from the beach but not ocean front. I loved the location and the set up- 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, two patios. Nice pool area. Very quiet area.
