Best Mexican in Charleston
To get REAL Mexican food, you%26#39;ll have to leave the downtown area and head out to Johns Island (not too far a drive).
El Mercadito is the Mexican restaurant folks rave about. Here%26#39;s a link to a review:

Best Mexican in Charleston
This is easy. If you just want a simple menu (quesadillas, burritos, nachos, etc. that are very good) and the weather is nice to eat outside, go to Juanita Greenberg%26#39;s on King Street. For big burritos try Yo Burrito off of King close to the college.
For a big menu: We have tried a lot of Mexican restaurants and for us we have found the best value, service, and quality at Los Arcos in Mt. Pleasant, just off the IOP Connector near the King Street Grille. Their prices are actually ridiculous ($3 for a 34 oz beer and their kid menu is I think $3.50) and honestly I%26#39;ve never had more friendly and POLITE service. The fajitas are unparalleled and the chicken nachos - ummmmmmmmm! My new favorite.
ENJOY!
(Reminded me I must write an official review for Los Arcos)
