Decent Place to Stay in Greenville, SC During Relo?

I%26#39;m curious if anyone has any recommendations for lodging (30-60 days) during an upcoming relocation to that area. So far all I%26#39;ve seen is (extremely) expensive corporate housing, or low-cost hotels with less than complimentary reviews. Anyone have any recommendations?

Thx.,

Fred

Not sure about your budget but... The Hawthorn Suites in Greenville I hear are not bad. Good location, right off of Haywood Road. Might be able to strike a deal with local hotels by cold calling.

If you are brave you could check out CraigsList.

Good luck!

If it%26#39;s still operating, Mainsail Village is your best bet. It%26#39;s a nice apartment complex that also rents some units by the day, week, and month. We stayed there for a weekend once and it was great! It was upscale, clean, spacious, and relaxing. I also like Embassy Suites in Greenville. Best wishes.

bugg - I think they are going under Marriott Execustay now - try this link for info -

Thanks everyone. Bud41, I agree with your recommendation of Embassy Suites. I just got back from Greenville, and I stayed there for a couple of nights. Didn%26#39;t have time to play any golf, but nice nonetheless. Thanks again...

Right off of 85 on Woodruff Road is the Drury Hotel... not even a year old I believe. Every room has a microwave and fridge. If you arent planning on cooking any meals that might be all you need. Plenty of shopping and eating in walking distance. (It is basically in the same parking lot as Whole Foods)

Cost of room includes a lot of extras; free wireless internet, free breakfast, and ect. Although it is on Woodruff Road, notorious for horrendous traffic, the location would not be that bad because of the close proximity to the 85 on and off ramps.

Another list of local hotels and extend stay locations that Clemson University suggests. Take their suggestions with a grain of salt.

In response to Bud :)

Are talking about the same place? Quick google search indicated they actually have different addresses. Hawthorn has the site listed under their site still.... Check out: http://www.hawthorn.com/

Could be wrong though :)
